Red Cross volunteer Seniors Activity Centre presenting travel fest THE WEST Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre (WVSAC) is inviting the public to participate in a Travel Fest and Gala Cruise Night Dance which is taking place on Satur- day, Feb. 8 at 695 21st St. in West Vancouver. The travel fest, which is a fundraising event for WVSAC, will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.in, and admission is free. Local travel agencies and major tour operators will be displaying travel ideas and presenting slides, films and talks on a host of destinations. The event will include a packing demonstration and holiday wear fashion show at {1 a.m. and 1 p.m. Refresh- ments and a cappucino bar will be available throughout the day. In the evening the WVSAC will be transformed into a cruise ship ballroom with the West Vancouver ‘*Miller Aires"’ 18-piece orchestra pro- viding dance music from 8 p.m, to midnight. Entertainment will also in- clude performances by ‘A Train", a jazz duo performing from 9 p.m. to midnight, and **Razzmatazz’ will be demonstrating a Spanish dance routine during the orchestra’s intermission. Dance tickets, which cost $10 and include refreshments, are On sale now at WVSAC.
