Students honored

NORTH VANCOUVER School
District 44°s top 100 Grade 12 stu-
dents were honored recently at
Seymour Golf and Country Club.

Each of the district’s six senior
secondary schools identified its top
ten per cent to be presented at the
honors lunckeon.

Dr. Douglas Jardine, president
of Capilano College addressed the
students at lunch, praising their
sacrifice and hard work which
often goes unnoticed by others.

A special feature of this lun-
cheon is the attendance and finan-
cial support of 17 corporate spon-
sors: Capilano College; Jostens
Canada; North Shore Credit
Union; Bank of Montreal; Pepsi
Cola; North Shore Taxi; Dan
Miscisco All-Star Sports Camps;
Canadian Oxy Industrial Chemi-

Each of the honor students were
presented with a silver com-
memorative pin and certificate of
achievement by the sponsors.

Business representatives and
students had the opportunity to
exchange views on the changing
nature of the world of work in the
1990s.

yearly event for the school district,
