Tyne police force and are special guests oF Park
Royal, Wearing traditional Bobbic helmets, the
pair will stroll the malls Chatting with new friends
starting Wednesday, September 2 Ist.

As well as appearing at Park Royal during the
12-day event, the two officers will join members
of the West Vancouver Police and visit with
elementary school students.

Lovers ot special blend teas are invited to at-
tend a free seminar conducted by well-known
Gwen Murchie of Murchies Tea & Coffee, Cana-
dian blenders of exotic teas since 1894, Housed
in a portable exhibit featuring tea & coffee
museum artifacts, two seminars will be con-
ducted in the North Mall at 1 p.m. Saturday,
September 24th, and on Saturday, October Ist
at noon, Patrons will learn about the history of
tea, the intricate process of blending and enjoy
samples of exotic teas.

Special film theatres, located on both malls,
will feature daily showings of some 25 different
travel videos provided to Park Royal by the British
Travel Authority, Toronto. Theatres will be located
near Travel Information Centres staffed by
knowledgeable consultants from Park Royal's four
travel agents...BCAA, P. Lawson Travel, Marlin
Travel and Woodward's Travel.

Feature displays at British Showcase ‘86 will be
elaborate: scale models of two famous London
landmarks: Buckingham Palace and the Big Ben
clock tower. Shipped directly to Park Royal by
British Ainvays Cargo division, the detailed
replicas will be installed by Clive Agran represen-
ting Upton Displays Limited of London.

Viewers will witness a 2%: minute ‘dawn to
dawn’ lighting feature of Buckingham Palace
located on the North Mall. The world-famous
chime of Big Ben will be heard ‘on the hour’
from its South Mall location.

Other displays include: replicas of the
Crown Jewels: a restored 1926 Rolls
Royce Silver Ghost, owned by
West Vancouver's John Peirsan,
will have Fortnum & Mason
products spilling from. its
luggage rack. Other
automobiles include a
new and vintage Bentley,

a new Jaguar: as well,
models of the famed
Concorde and nose-
cone display of the 747,
both members of the
British Airways fleet.
