NV cyclist treks for Life & Breath DORA CRILLY of North Van- couver will be among the 100 cyclists participating in the B.C. Lung Association’s fourth annual Bicycle Trek for Life & Breath. But in order to participate in the three-day fund-raising trek Sept. 17, 18 and 19, Crilly needs to col- lect a minimum of $350 worth of pledges. Said self-proclaimed badminton fiend Crilly: ‘I average six to nine hours of play a week, and I’m always looking for new experiences where I can meet people, see new sights and treat my body to lots of fresh air and exercise.” Covering about 175 kilometres on Saltspring Island, Vancouver Island and the Saanich Peninsula, the trek raises money to fight breathing system diseases. This year’s trek marks the se- cond for registered nurse Crilly, 39, Founded in 1906 as the Anti- Tuberculosis Society, the B.C. Lung Association now invests 31 million annually in research, education and community services.
