INTERESTING STUFF, HUH 2 ving Eu Libraries host kids programs WITH OLDER siblings back in school all day, many mothers are looking for programs to interest the younger members of the fami- ly. In a new series of Preschool Storytime beginning at the Capilano Branch of North Van- couver District Library on Thurs- days at 10:30 a.m., children will be introduced to new and classic pic- ture-books, folk stories and tall! tales, fingerplays and feltboard stories. For children who attend kindergarten or preschool pro~ grams in the mornings, Capilano Library also has an afternoon Storytime at 2 p.m. on Wednes- days. General interest videos will be shown for parents in the meeting room at this time. Pre- registration is not required for either. Pre-registration is not required for Preschool Storytime, but itis a necessity for Tales-for-Twos, the library’s popular storytime program for two-year-olds only. There are still a few spaces left in the current session, Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Interested parents are asked to call immediately: 987- 4471. For children in other areas of North Vancouver, Lynn Valley Library’s storytimes are Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 7 p.m., while Seycove Branch has Evening Storytime at 7:15 p.m. on Mondays and Preschool Storytime at 10 a.m. on Thursdays. Children must be three years and over for these programs. Seycove will also be starting a series of Tales-for-Twos on Tues- days at 10:30 p.m. from October 7.
