TIPS

For those who are preparing their vegetable gardens, there are a few simple rules to
ensure success: . ; ;
1. Lime thoroughly right now -- fresh lime in your potato patch wiil cause skin scabs.
2. Many young plants “damp off" due to fungi in the soil —a powder fungicide such as ATOX
should be applied soon after liming and again as seedlings emerge.
3. You can never go wrong by tilling in a few bags of manure.
