‘No enemies’ says bomb victim

A NORTH Vancouver
man who had the in-
terior of his car exten-
sively damaged by an
explosion says he has no
enemies and no reason
to suspect anything
other than vandalism
was behind the Sunday
night explosion.

“‘I'd say it was somé sort
of perverted Hallowe’en
prank (and) my car just
happened to be there,’’ says
Bnian Jolly, a resident of the
2000 block of Larson and
victim of the blast.

According to the police

report, the interior of the car
was badly damaged by an
explosive device Sunday
evening. The car is now in
the hands of the police crime
lab as they attempt to
determine what the device
was. —
Jolly, who had parked the
car in the carport of his
home about an hour before
the blast, said the sound of
the explosion ‘‘made me
jump right out of my seat.”’

firecracker that some kids
had let off,’* he says.

Jolly checked outside his
home but didn’t immediately
notice the damage to his car
