Leagues.

started last Wednesday with
the Championship round be-
ing played this week at the
Rec. Centre Arena.

ched with 21 of the 30 games

third. Teams 2 and 3 had
identical records (3 wins, 4
losses, 3 ties for 9 points) but
Team 2 had a better goals
against record. Those same
two teams met in first round
action with Tcam 2 carning
the right to advance after a
decisive 4-1 victory. Team 2
now meets Team | in the

running Sunday in
the Avon Ladies’
Half Marathon in
West Vancouver.
The race is one of 54
in 20 countries spon-
sored by the
cosmetics company.
About 500 women
took part in the race
won by = Jessica
Brandt of Van-
couver. For many of
the women, the race
was used as prepara-
tion work for the
regular 26 mile
marathon distance.
