tachloraphenol wood
preserver on a paved area of
Lynnterm wharves draining
into Burrard Inlet last
August has led to a $35,000
fine.

Judge John Leyton an-
nounced the fine on
provincial court in) North
Vancouver Tuesday,
following a two-day court

hearing against Western

Stevedonng.

He declared that since
catchment basins at the site
held only 60-90 gallons he
was satisfied some of the

the water.
