Among the highlights of this year’s wine festival are the Peo- ple’s Choice wine tasting at Kelowna’s Capri Hotel (Friday, Oct. 1), the Winemasters’ Dinner at the Coast Lakeside Resort in Penticton (Friday, Oct. 8), and the Consumers’ Choice wine tasting at the Penticton Trade and Conven- tion Centre (Saturday, Oct. 9). There are also some great fam- ily fun events, like the Grape Stomp Championship at Calona Wines in Kelowna (Saturday, Oct. 2), or the Great Grape Games in Summerland’s Memorial Park (Sunday, Oct. 3). There will be hot-air balloon tides — weather permitting — at Bella Vista Vineyard in Vernon (Saturday, Oct. 2), .
