merly known as Prince, or for that
matter, the general manager of a
Holiday Inn near you. -

M. Teja is on a campaign to
establish a presence on the North
Shore for his motel.

In the niche markets of the ‘90s
there is a room ready for every type
of traveler and Teja’s Holiday Inn
Express targets corporate business
and the budget-minded.

The “no frills” motel looks like
a million bucks — extensive renova-
tions have completely transformed
the former Mapie Motor Lodge on
Capilano Road.

Holiday Inn took over the foca-
tion in August of 1994 and commis-
sioned Farouk Noormohamed’s
West Vancouver architectural firm
to oversee the renovations.
