Man crushed

NORTH VANCOUVER ambulance crews and the North
‘Vancouver City Fire Department were called to an in-
dustrial accident at 440 Brooksbank Ave. at 9:16 a.m. on
Thursday, Jan. 14. |
A fire department spokesman said a man was working

on a hydraulic lift on the back -of a truck when the lift
_ collapsed, crushing the victim. /

. The man, whose name was not released to press time
_ Friday, was reported in stable condition in hospital.

- Drug store robbed

THE NORTH Vancouver RCMP are investigating a
break-in. at the 935 Marine Dr. Shoppers Drug Mart:
; Store that occurred at 5:16 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13.

| ~ A police spokesman said thieves pried the store’s doors

' open und stole a large amount of cigarettes.

“plary, and two new vehicles were seen leaving the area. -

Truck flips
NORTH: VANCOUVER District firefighters were called
-to the Seymour. Dam area early Jan. 9 when a propane.
truck flipped off the rord. :
-According to a’ fire department, pokestoan, the inci-'
dent occurred just before 8 a.m.
_ The truck was half full following a propane delivery.
The ‘spokesman said the truck did not leak propane |
