There is potential alleviation
and unprecedented opportunity,
now, thanks to the current revolu-
tionary/evolutionary energy dance
of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto
(within us all).

A Yes vote on the Oct. 26 ref-
erendum would be a significant
act of faith. It would give future
governments a directive, sug-
gesting ‘‘we care about the coun-
try; let’s keep her!’’.

No says that we would! just as
soon risk the possibie dismantling
of the country rather than shift
from our fixed position.

No constitutional agreeraent
cooked up by anyone, anywhere,
at any time, could possibly please
everybody. Thirteen politicians
and four aboriginal leaders stuck
their necks out on this onc, com-
promising some cherished objec-
tives for the sake of long-sought
unity.

The roots of this country are, in

-some respects, unstable and emo-

tional. When Cancer people, or

countries, do not feel emotionally -

secure, they tend to get self-
destructive — stirring up quarrels,
puiting themselves and each other
down.

But there are formidable
challenges in the Canadian psyche
that could be met at this time. We
could cease working against
ourselves. We could have a new
tease on life.

My love for this magnificent

land of great beauty and expanse
tells me that a persevering effort
to bring about self-purification
and spiritualization until all sepa-
rateness is overcome is required,
now. .
The nearer this is approached,
the greater the joy of living (less
rampant stress and depression),
which ultimately develops into an
impregnable felicity.
