By ELIZABETH COLLINGS News Reporter Sackney is trying to get cor- porate sponsors for the Santa’s Breakfast she is organizing at the North Vancouver secondary school, but every time she puts in a call to a company and finally gets past its secretary, she’s told to put her request in writing. “It’s kind of frustrating because I’m so busy all the time and they’re so busy,’’ Sackney laughs. But she remains undaunted in her quest for business donations for the breakfast, which will take place Friday, Dec. 22 from 7 a.m. to9a.m. “If we get all the ingredients we asked for there’ll be French toast, sausages, juice of some sort and coffee and tea,’’ Sackney said, ad- ding that she is aiming to get 250 students to breakfast out for chari- ty. The funds raised will be divided between the North Vancouver Christmas Bureau and the Children’s Fund. The Santa’s Breakfast is just one of the many inventive ways Wind- sor students are getting into the Christmas spirit this year. Last week Noel Villeneuve, Kyle Smith and Sean Piekaar brought in Villeneuve’s band, Loaf of Ice Cream, to raise money. Villeneuve and Greg Argent (the Windsor contingent) played with their band while collecting dona- tions of non-perishable food, toys and money. “‘December is very hectic around here,”’ said Nicky Carroll, a Grade Armed robbery suspect arrested A MISSION prison escapee was nabbed by North Vancouver RCMP Monday after a fone man robbed a cashier at Save-On- Foods, 1250 Marine Dr., in North Vancouver.
