Eric Martin, general man- ager of Lonsdale Quay Development Corporation, wrote a letter to council con- firming that his referral to a proposed permanent dock structure will be for plaza and turnaround use, not for use as a Moating dock to serve as a marina, North Vancouver City Council approved the bylaw to rezone parcel Ko of Lonsdale Quay recently from M-2 industrial to a Comprehensive Develop- ment zone, to accommodate the dock stueture, public pedestrian plaza, emergency vehicle turnaround and mobile commercial kiosks, Second and third readings were given to the bylaw December 17, with an amendment deleting the ‘temporary moorage facility’ use for the dock structure, But final adoption was delayed due to the lack of urgency. Martin wrote to council requesting council reinitiate the bylaw for final ap- provement, since the parcel K structure is scheduled to begin construction in the near future.
