24 - Sunday, March 31, 1985 - North Shore News Brewers come up short_ THE Olympic/Pizza Piemen Brewers scored a victory and a tie in the last week of Jeague play to clinch second place in the tough third divi- sion of Vancouver Adult Hockey Association. The win, in a wide-open contest, came against the fifth place Knights, while the tie came against the leayue- leading Bulls, setting the local side up well for the league play-offs. Against the Knights the line of Tim Mills, John Sheils and Greg Durno shone, picking up six points between them on the night while John Gills cou Brad fell into a 3-0 deficit before the mid-way point of the se- cond period. Then Sheils and Mills went to work, scoring four goals between them — (wo apiece — and when the buzzer went at the end of the game the score was tied 4-4, The Brewers are now preparing for the playoffs,in which they hope to repeat last year’s accomplishments. In the 1983-84 season, the Brewers claimed the fourth division crown, Fanos each = rarched a pair of points during the game.
