Woman sentenced to nine months

A 38-YEAR-OLD Burnaby
woman was recently jailed for
nine months in connection with a
charge of defrauding Elmec
Engineering Ltd. in North Van-
couver,

Jeanne Christina McDonald
pleaded . guilty to the charge,
which stemmed from _ incidents
that occurred between Sept. 12,
1989, and Nov. 21, 1989, in North
Vancouver District.

McDonald was required to pay
$6,213 compensation or ‘‘a lesser
amount that equals the deduction
on the insurance paid by the
complainant.’’

Judge’ Jezume Paradis recom-
mended McDonald serve her jail
sentence with an electronic
monitoring system.

McDonald was recently
sentenced in North Vancouver
provincial court.

Before Judge Jerome Paradis in
North Vancouver provincial court
on June 23:

Kevin Karl Aberle, 20, of North
Vancouver, pleaded not guilty to
aggravated assault: of a female,
but instead, pleaded guilty to the
lesser or - included offence of
assault causing bodily harm,

Aberle was jailed 15 days on
weekends fn connection with (he
charge. He also received 12
months’ probation.

The charge stemmed from an
incident that happened on Jan. 1
in North Vancouver District.
Befory Judge Doug Moss in North
Vancouver provincial court) on
dune 18:

Peter Cameron Newall, 39, of
Elkford, B.C., was fined $500
after he pleaded guilty to using a
stolen MasterCard belonging to a
man on Sept. 3, 1992 in North
Vancouver District.

Newall was required to pay 4
$75 victim surcharge.

Darlene Mae Moreau, 38, of
West Vancouver, received cight
months’ probation after she was
found guilty of assaulting a male
on Jan. 6 in West Vancouver.

sentencing,

Vancouver, was fined $1,000 and
received 12 months’ probation
after he pleaded guilty to
assaulting a femaic on April 12 in
West Vancouver.

North Vancouver, was fined $100
after she was found guilty of driv-
ing without due care and attention
on the Trans-Canada Highway in
West Vancouver on Feb. 3.

Svava Sigrid Johnsson, 52, of
West Vancouver, was fined $200
after she was found guilty of fail-
ing to remain at the scene of a
vehicle accident that occurred at

Lawrence Todasco, 33, of Sur-
tey, was fined $150 after he
pleaded guilty to driving without a

Stephen’ Robert Hodges, 19, of
West Vancouver, was fined $100
and received six months’ proba-
tion after he pleaded guilty to
assaulting a person on Nov. 29,
