UESTION: Just a couple of days ago I looked up at my textured ceiling
. and noticed cracks running along it, is there some kind of Siler or caulking
I can fill those cracks in with?

NSWER:
REPAIRING A (
CEILING:

We would recommend

CRACK_IN_A RED

that you use an

ACRYLIC BASED PRODUCT.

First of all you must “vee” out the crack. Use a
1'4,inch wood chise! and hold it at a 45 degree angle,
drawing it along the crack “veeing” it out approximately
1/8 of an inch. Once this is done, we suggest that you
use a product called DAP TUB AND TILE SEAL
which comes in a hand tube. As you are applying. the
product down the crack, move the tube “in and out’

leaving a “stippled effect”.

When the DAP TUB AND TILE SEAL is stili
wet, you cau use a piece of paper towel to pat the pro-
duci into the crack, creating a “stippled effect” to imatch

the existing ceiling.

You may find that when the DAP TUB AND
TILE SEAL has dried that there is a difference in colour

in the ceiling. You may wish to repaint your textured

ceiling as follows.

REPAINTING A TEXTURED CEILING:

If you wish to brighten your textured ceiling, we
recommend that you apply a product called TEXTURE §
FRESH by SYNKOLOID of Canada. There is no §
requirement to clean the ceiling before application of
this product. TEXTURE FRESH can be purchased at
your local building suppiy stores.
