‘Man stabbed
in. NV home

A NORTH VANCOUVER: man was stabbed as he grappled with
two assailants who broke into his home Friday around 3:30 a.m.
RCMP ‘said the man, whose name was not released, was rushed
to Lions Gate Hospital where he was listed in serious ‘condition to
press time Friday. ~
The break-in ‘occurred i in the 400-block of Hermosa Avenue.

A LARGE quantity of cigarettes
valued at $49,000 was stolen from
North Vancouver’s Kelly Douglas
Cash and Carry store recently.

The store, at 704 West 2nd St.,
was broken into during the night
of April 1.

North Vancouver RCMP. said
the store’s phone lines had been
cut, and the front latch to the
doors cut off.

Stolen were approximately 2,500
cartons of cigarettes.

RCMP are continuing their in-
vestigation into the incident.
