Options for volunteers

THE NORTH Shore Information
and Volunteer Centre is seeking
volunteers. The following are just
a few of the options available.

HOST/HOSTESS to help. serve
meal and socialize at seniors’ meal
program. Assist in setting tables,
serving meals and cleanup. Thurs-
days 4to 7 p.m. West Van.
INFANT with Downs Syndrome
requires one-to-one company while
his mother takes English for new
Canadians classes. Must have an
understanding of mentally handi-
capped. Two or three mornings per
week, 9:15 to 11:15, March 30 to
June 10, N. Van.
PHOTOGRAPHER for N.V. arts
centre to take black and white
photographs. Volunteer should
have own camera equipment and
use of a dark room. Costs will be
reimbursed. A few hours per
month.

DANCE GROUP requires assis-
tants for a video shoot, March 23
and 24 — all day. Rig lights, put
down ballet floor, costume sewing
and general help.

SUNDAY DRIVER tc drive two
wheelchair adults to Lynn Valley
Church and also to bible class on
Friday evenings. Class I'V licence is
mandatory.

CLERICAL RECEPTIONIST for
busy, friendly North Van office.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
afternoons. Telephone and typing
are main duties. Experience
preferred.

EXERCISE ENCOURAGEMENT
for woman with MS. She _ is
wheelchair bound and requires
