North Shore project
$10,600 promised last
May, despite the com-
mitment not being
matched by. the
Squamish Nation.

The funding agreement
stated that the city would
donate the money only if the
districts of North and West
Vancouver and the Squamish
Nation each contributed the
same amount.

The Squamish Nation has
verbally promised its funding
in the form of research and
support as well as in telling
the: stories of the Squamish
people’s history.

The. Visions of the North
Shore is-a project designed
to integrate art and history
in North Shere communi-
ties. |

Twelve key historic sites,
including Cates Park, Lynn
Canyon and Mosquito
Creek, will be restored to
