First off, take it easy. Don’t go too hard too soon and get injured. Be sure to warm up before each session, and remember to stretch during and again after your ski. The uphills are always a bit steeper your first few outings of the year. Unless you have been faithful - to a fall or year-round fitness pro- gram, you can expect some short- ness of breath. Also expect some muscle soreness and stiffness after your first few skis.
