He enlisted in the Cana- dian Scottish Regiment in 1943, took -. part in the D-Day invasion, seeing action .- in Normandy and the Low Countries. He was taken pigeon during the Battle of tite Leopold Canal in October, 1944 and Spent seven months i in captivity in Ger- many and Poland. After the, war he worked in ‘several Van- couver Island communities before rejoin- ing the army in 1952, serving with the Black Watch in Korea, In 1965 te settl- ed in North Vancouver, finished his miti- tary service.with the, Seaforth Highlanders, and pursued a successful career in real estate: He was a member of the Reai Estate Board of Greater Van- Couver, and worked at H.A. Roberts in commercial real estate before founding his own firm. He was most tecently oc- cupied with his family business, REALTY WORLD-Coronet, and was actively engag- ed in his work at the time of his pass- ing.
