One of the reasons for this are

what a cruise is all about,’’ he
said, referring to the service

- aboard ship.

He added that there is much
‘more to do on board than in the
early days of cruising. ‘‘Shuf-
fleboard has expanded to all sorts
of other sports.”’

And the cabins found on newer
ships can be quite luxurious, cer-
tainly not the closet-sized rooms
that some might assume they will
find.

“Canadians are a little reluctant

to cruise in summer,’ he added,
saying that winter is more popular
because our weather is not as
warm then.
