As a resident of North
Vancouver, I was disap-
pointed to find an article in
the North Shore News of
April 2! describing the ser-
vices of two Vancouver and
Lytton based Whitewater
Rafting Companies and
promoting their use by the
North Vancouver Commutni-
ty.

I would like to point out
that all the program offer-
ings described in this article
(with the exception of paddle
tafting) are offered through
a North Vancouver Com-
pany,. Frontier River Adven-
tures Ltd. Offered, | might
add, ai a lesser charge.

The above mentioned ar-
ticle would appear tc be in
contradiction with your im-
age of and role as a Com-
munity orientated newspaper
since i encourages the pro-
visions of service to our
community by companies
based elsewhere while ex-
cluding the possible provi-
sion of such services by
those existing and operating
within the. North Shore
Community itself.

I just had to comment on
your scintillating (sic) Sun-
shine girl Wednesday, May

lt is very difficult to say
which one was the more ab-
surd, the photographer for
such a poor photograph,
technical as well as subject
matter, or the model, who
by posing as she did showed
dreadful - taste, a complete
lack of class, and succeeded
only in’ making herseif look
very unattractive.

She 'is probably a pretty
girl but the costume she
wore, combined with the

; aforementioned pose were

"just too tacky.

. Come on North Shore
News, enough is enough,
let’s bring a little class back
to the paper.
