we Eighteen student athletes from the North Shore have been selected to attend the 1976 Youth Development Camp at Jericho Hill School, ‘Vancouver, July 4-31. Sponsored by the B.C. Federation of School Athletic Associations, this fourth annual development camp is being held in cooperation with the. B.C. badminton, basketball, field hockey and football associations. The ‘caimp is for student Bill Nugent of North Vancouver, a member of the Vancouver’ Central Lions Club has been named co- chairman of the Club’s CARSCRAFT Committee. The Club recently took over CARSCRAFT, the shel- tered workshop and sales outlet, which was originated and operated by The Can- adian Arthritis and Rheum- atism Society, B.C. Division for patients with arthritis. The Vancouver Central Lions Club is the second oldest club in Canada, being projects in the field of ~ rehabilitation. - Many of the Vancouver Central Lions Club members have been CARSCRAFT volunteers over a period of : many years, driving patients daily from their homes to the workshop at 1549 West Broadway, where they learn to silkscreen, weave, finish ‘driftwood and produce pott- ery.
