Abbey's jumpsuit is made of 100 per cent cotton and is large enough to allow for two years’ growth. 100 PER CENT COTTON NY mother introduces new line for children FOR EVERY parent, shopping for their children’s clothing involves time and a lot of choices. That’s why North Shore fashion designer Jan Stimpson’s new spring line of children's clothing comes as a nice surprise. Stimpson is a mother herself and knows that children don’t like to keep still for long. And that’s why she designed her own children’s spring active wear line called Chaos, on the one-size-fits-all con- cept. Comfortable, baggy tops, shorts, skirts, pants, dresses and jumpsuits — in bright yellows, reds and purples — leave lots of room for kids to move around in. Each size allows for about two years’ growth, and that’s good news for parents who rack up huge clothing bills only to see their children grow out of them. **Each size offers a loi of room for expansion,’’ says Stimpson. The one-size concept is a take- off on Stimpsorn’s women’s wear line called Harmony, which adapts to all types of figures and sizes. Another interesting feature of Chaos is reversability. A large part of the line can be reversed, a sav- ing grace if you're in a restaurant and your child spills something on his clothing. ‘You can just turn it inside out and the stain disap- pears,’’ Stimpson explains. Made from 100 per cent cotton, Chaos clothing is pre-shrunk for easy care — everything is machine washable. Stimpson's fashions are available in sizes two to cight. Choose from a range of inter- changeable separates. For more in- formation phone Jan Stimpson at 929-2203 or drop by her studio at 4378 Gallant Ave.. North Van- couser.
