: Youth network set up

THE Student Leadership Network has been
established in West Vancouver to give the grow-
ing number of independent schools and youth in
general a voice in School District 45.
The newvork will provide input to the Youth Advisory
~ Committee that reports to the school board.
* West Vancouver council also endorsed the network at their
Monday night meeting.
The group had their first monthly mecting on Oct. 20, with
14 students in attendance. The meeting location will rotate
berween Rockridge, Sentinel and West Vancouver schools and
the Ambleside Youth Centre.
- It is open to all interested youth in the community, and will
include. two: permanent members of the Youth Advisory
Committee.
At their first meeting, students discussed transit on the
North Shore, in response to TransLink’s North Shore Area
Transit Plan, presented to council earlier this month. While
