NV man killed by vehicle A 21-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man was killed early Saturday morning after he was hit by a vehicle in the 700-block of Pacific Boulevard in Vancouver. Anthony Kiss died after being hit by a passing vehicle at approx- imately 2:40 a.m., when he and two other persons were standing away from the curb of the street attempting to flag down a taxi. The other two people were slightly injured in the incident. No charges had been laid against the driver of the vehicle to press time Tuesdsy. Yancuuver Police are continuing their in- vestigation into the accident. Resident awakes to find intruder CHARGES ARE pending sgainst s North Vancouver man follow- ing a break-in to a Bewicke Avenue home Feb. 12. The owner was asleep when an intruder entered his home at ap- proximately 10:50 a.m. The suspect was going through items in the ving room when the resident awoke. The intruder fied the scene, bat RCMP were succeszful in locating and arresting the man. A charge of break and cater with intent is pending against the man. WV ratepayers group formed A GROUP of West Vancouver residents have formed themselves fato the Eagle Harbour Ratepayers Association and are requesting that West Vaccouver District Council provide them with the same information afforded to other ratepayers groups. The document contains a brief description of city buildings which possess historic, architectural or contextual heritage merit. All owners of buildings ranked as being of primary and secondary importance will receive a com- plimentary copy of the report. The general public and owners of other buildings listed in the inventory, can obtain copies from city halt for $10. Later this year, the city will be considering options for encourag- ing the conservation of heritage buildings. These will include the consideration of conservation in- centives and regulatory controls. Public input on these initiatives will be sought prior to their im- plementation. A background document on the subject, entitled Heritage Policy Recommendations, is available free-of-charge at the city hall.
