WEST VANCOUVER
Council is planning to im-
plement a new form of
punishment for local young
offenders.

If they don't toe the line,
council is hoping to get them
to hoe the line,

As of Monday night,
council will be steaming full
speed ahead to implement
the municipality's Adopt-
A-Park program,

Council will actively pur-
sue probation offices to gain
Ll the services of young of-
ve fenders during the coming
year in order to carry out
projects which West Van-
couver Parks and Recreation
could not do otherwise.

Business organizations
and service groups are also
in the Adopt-A-Park
scheme. Council hopes that
the organizations will select
a park for beautification and
donate funds to enable the
work to be done by
municipal staff or by an
outside company.

already benefited from the
Adopt-A-Park program.
