Shore residents vate from SFU grac A TOTAL of 143 North Shore students were among the more than 1,400 receiving degrees at yesterday's colorful graduation ceremonies for Simon Fraser University’s class of ‘83. lt was the largest graduating class in the university's 18-year history. One of the top honors went to a former (1979) Capilano College = an- thropology Student, Saskatchewan-born Nancy Lovell. She was awarded the prestigious Gordon M. Shrum Medal - named after SFU's first chancellor - and $500 prize for “high scholastic achievement and outstanding qualities of character and devotion to SFU."
