Fire destroys Deep Cove home A HOUSE was destroyed by fire on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 2128 Lockhaven Rd. in the Deep Cove area. ‘ The house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, said a North Vancouver District Fire Services (NVDFS) spokesman, . No one was home at the time of the blaze. No injuries were reported. Neighbors reported the fire after hearing banging sounds in the home. The sounds were related to windows breaking from. gas and heat, said a NVDFS spokesman. The split-level home contained a large amount of interior and exterior cedar, said the spokesman. Fire officials were attempting to contact the owner and occupant of the home to press time. _ The cause of the fire is under investigation.
