Every registered voter in North Vancouver will receive un individual and confidential Personal Identification Number (PIN) in the mail . : This secret number will enable each person to vole in Referendum 794, Voters will cast their ballots using their touch-tone telephones by dial- ing a 1-900 number, entering their PIN, and voting yes or no to the three questions on the electronic ballot. Questions on the YOA deal with the age at which charges can be laid, the transfer of cases to adult court, and whether there should be a special category for dangerous and repeat offenders, 7 North Vancouver high school stu- dents will also be able to vote. They will be provided with a separate series of PINs to enable the computer to track their responses separately and compare them with those of the general population.
