Babayaga opens fall recital series

THE VANCOUVER con-
temporary string quartet
Babayaga is scheduled to
open the North Shore Music
Academy’s 1992-93 recital

Following in the footsteps of
the Kronos Quartet and the Turtle
Island String Quartet, the local
foursome performs gypsy dances,
folk music, jazz standards and
original compositions.

Other recitals include perfor-

(Dec.4), Faculty and Friends (Feb.
5), harpsichordist Martha
Brickman (March 5) and pianist
Pavel Kowalski.
