FIRE DAMAGED a North Vancouver townhouse Monday. North
Vancouver District Fire Department firefighters responded to the

Firefighters believe the fire began on the balcony of the home. In-

Caulfeild residents ask
for heritage designation

have petitioned West

for protection of the character of their area.

As part of its heritage designa-
tion, Fearn and fellow petitioners
stated that standards for’ Lower
Caulfeild call for a house footprint
of not more than 26 per cent of lot
size and a floor space ratio of not
more than 31 per cent of lot size.

The petition stipulated that three
local residents should be elected to
a Lower Caulfeild Association to
deal with area issues. An aesthetics
committee should also be formed
