WELL UNDERWAY, the Pacific National Exhibition, which opened Saturday, has shows,
sights, games, food and rides for every age and every personality. Above left, Dam Striker
beat Roger Gange in the log rolling competition. Logging events take place three times a day
for the duration of the exhibition. Above, Julie MacArthur holds a snack high above the
heads of a donkey and goat, who are very intent on finding out what she has, in the
Children’s Petting Zoo at Kid’s World in the red and white tent. And left, these lttle girls are
mesmerized by a performance on stage at Kid’s World, and quite happy to sit and watch.
