(UPI) - A fisherman was at-
tacked by a supposedly dead
hammer head shark he was
dragging through a parking
lot, police said last week.

They said Mannetijies Bin-
neman was pulling the shark,

which he intended to eat for
dinner, by the tail when the
fish wiggled out of his grasp
and ripped open Binneman's
leg.

The fisherman finally kill-
ed the shark by clubbing it
on the head.

Binneman was taken to a
hospital where doctors gave
him an emergency blood
transfusion and stitched the
cut, police said.

A police spokesman said it
was the first shark attack he
had ever heard of on dry
land.
