while he continues to work on

Cherokee earlier this week).

In this day and age of high
tech engines and computer
chip- operated systems, :
biggest challenge for small
shop. Operators is two-fold:
ceping up with the ever-
changing technolegy; and
acquiring the computer diag-
nostic tools necessary to work
on late-model vehicles.

Asked if this latter fact
alone will one day be the
demise of the small shop,
Breiddal said he doesn’t think
so. :

“I think people like to
come to a place where they
have a good relationship with
their mechanic,” he said.
“When new diagnostic tools
come out they’re pretty expen-
sive, but then the price tends
to come down.”
