The wild uproar (Webster's definition of pandemonium) will come on the part of children. The sudden overpowering fright (Webster’s definition of panic) will be displayed by parents. If you are a child then you know what time of year it is. In fact, other than Christmas, it is the time of year most children wait for eagerly all year long. If you are a parent, you also should know what time of year it is. However, if this annual ritual has somehow slipped your mind, then you need only turn the radio dial to your kid’s favorite head- banger station. Recognize that song? Recognize that shrieking, spine-tingling voice? That’s right, it’s Alice Cooper singing School’s Out For Summer. Now do you remember what time of year it is? Now do you recognize that annual shock you have just received? It’s cailed sudden overpowering fright. But parents need not fear the school’s-out-for-summer trauma this year. This year, parents can send their children to KIDSUMMER, a program that includes 64 days of touring a wide variety of facilities on the North Shore and Lower (__ r By Surj Rattan News Reporter Mainland geared towards children between the ages of five and 10 and their guardians. “The entire Lower Mainland has been transformed into a fun, adventurous and _ educational venue for kids to see their com- munity through the eyes of KID- SUMMER,” says program pro- ducer Brian Freestone. The registration fee for a KID- SUMMER membership is only $5 and that allows both the child and the guardian to attend all of the 64 activities and events planned for the summer.
