2 tbsp. oil

I tsp. cumin

% tsp. coriander

4 tsp. ginger

4 tsp. cinnamon

Y% tsp. cayenne

Y% tsp. ground cloves

Dash of turmeric

2 medium tomatoes, cut into
chunks

% pound mushrooms, sliced

Fry the beefina skillet just until it
loses its red color. Transfer from
pan with slotted spoon and set
aside. Saute the onion and garlic
in the oil with the cumin, cori-
ander, ginger, cinnamon,
cayenne, cloves, and turmeric.
Simmer for 15 minutes. Add the
tomatoes and cook an additional
5 minutes. Add the ground beef
and mushrooms. Simmer for 30
minutes, stirring occasionally.
Salt to taste. Serve with Rice.
