Library celebrates Lynn Canyon birthday

SEPTEMBER MARKS the 75th
anniversary of the opening of
Lynn Canyon Park, and in cele-
bration the Lynn Valley Library
will present two special events.
Naturalist: Kevin Bell gives a
slice-talk on The Changing
Seasons on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 7
p.m. ‘The end of summer brings
changes for everybody. While most
of us are strugeling with back-to-
school and back-to-work routines,
our animal neighbors in the forest

are making their own adjustments.
Many birds are preparing for a
long winter vacation in the south,
while other creatures are getting
ready to spend most of the cold
weather holed-up and asleep,”
says the library. The slide-tatk will
feature some of the changes to be
observed, and help identify some
unusual visitors at the bird table.
