I never pot a chance to see
Piaf, Her Life and Loves
when it first opened at City
Stage back in late April.

People who had seen it
were excited about the pro-
duction, and particularly
about the vibrant perfor-
mance of Jocle Raby.in the
crucial central role of Piam

Finally I saw the show in
mid June but felt it was too
late to write about as it was

ending the end of that mon-
th.

I was excited to receive a
press release Monday an-
nouncing the show had been
held over yet another month
until the end of July as it
gives me a chance to add my
praises to the rest.

The exciting show is a
much needed lift to the
financially beleaguered City
Stage, and a thrill not to be
missed for anyone who has
not yet is outstanding
production.

The play is structured so
that the play must hinge on
the leading character, not
only in being able to mimic
Piaf's vocal style but in car-
