Quebecoise (Quebec Week)
which Presentation House
and the Institute of Quebec
Studies at Capilano College
have put together in
celebration of the Institute's
first ‘anniversary of
existance.

The event, which is made
possible with a contribution
from the Ministry of In-
tergovernmental Affairs,
Province of Quebec, comes
at a particularly crucial
period in Quebec's: history
when the whole issue of the
province’s cultural identity

Sylvain Lelievre, April 17,
has been on the Quebec
music scene as a composer
for about fifteen years; but it
is only in recent years that he
has made a big name for
himself as a recording star.
He is recognized as one of
Quebec's finest musical
“craftsmen” with his soft,
romantic balladeer style of
singing and the intelligent
inspiration of his lyrics.
Lelievre’s most recent album
Intersections, made in
October, 1979, has sold
15,000 copies to date and is a
real testimony to the classic,
yet undeniably fresh con-
temporary sound of this
interesting young Quebec
singer.
