Former Sutheriand high school student Battista was recently presented a bronze medal for achieving the third highest total in the Grade 12 scholarship exams in British Columbia. BATTISTA EARNS BRONZE MEDAL Student third in B.C. EIGHTEEN-YEAR-old Cesare Battista was awarded a bronze medal for winning the top third spot for academic excellence in B.C. Battista, a graduate of Sutherland Secondary School, completed Grade 12 with a com- bined average of 96 per cent in German, History, and Biology. He was awarded a $2,000 scholarship for finishing in third place out of 20 students. He will use the money to continue his study of science at the University of British Colum- bia. Battista has ved in North Van- couver for three years. He entered Sutherland in Grade 10 when he and his family moved here from Germany. He says getting top own neighborhood.
