Jury room om drinking ends judge’s career

LAKEWOOD, Washington —
Municipal Judge Ralph H.
Baldwis, has resigned atter just
three months on the job.

The judge agreed with a
court clerk’s accusation that he
invited a lawyer and wo jurors
ona just-completed DUI case
back into the jury room where
the foursome worked on a 12-
pack of beer.

Court investigators report-
ed that the judge also said,
“Bet you’ve never met a judge
like me before.”
