A WEST Vancouver Police van was destroyed on Nov, 14
‘after it was hit near the scene of a single-cor crash on the
Trans-Canada Highway at the Capilano River bridge.

The first crash involved a driver who lost control of a car
near the bridge after a tire blew on the vehicie, according to
a West Vancouver Police spokesman.

Police said the police bicycle patroj van with its emer-
gency lights on was stopped near the car when it was struck
by a motorist. Witnesses of the van crash can call 925-7300.

Flood warning
_ A FLOOD warning was issued on Thursday for the
Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton areas,
“These areas have a large potential for snowpack meit,
» said Ron Henry, Ministry of Environment water manage-
ment'spokesmati.

Henry suid on F' riday that areas near the Seymour River
and Lynn, Creek may also be susceptible to flooding if
heavy rains continue. “
