The Ideal Man Turns 50!

COLCLEUSH - Major Murray Chester, 79,
passed away March 10, 1994 in Pentic-
ton Regional Hospital after a lengthy
battle with emphysema. He is survived
by his loving wife Lois; sister Shirley
(Vic} Blake, sons John, Stuart (Kathy)
and Bruce (Suzan); daughter Fiona Woz-
niak (Reg); stepsons Rod (Lavise) and
Craig (Lynne) Muschie; stepdaughters
Catal (Brian) Casey and Lyn (Barry)
Brinkman; grandchildren Jessica, Sean,
Cara, Erin, Ryan, Ken, Allen, Carmen,
Jennifer and Tyson; and great grandchil-
dren Sean, Chad and Cynthia, Murray
was born February 25, 1915 ia Edmon-
ton, Alta., and taised in Vancouver. B.C.
attending Chesterfield School in North
Vancouver, He served with distinction
during WWil with the Seaforths and the
Calgary Tanks at Dieppe and in Hal
Alter the war Murray joined the B.C.
Regiment and continued his 37 year ca-
reer as a Vancouver Social Worker and
Wellare Administrator. He also con-
tributed a lifetime of community service
in amateut sports, with the Royal Cana-
dian Legion and as a North Vancouver
City Alderman (78-79). Murray and Lois
moved, in 1979, to Penticton where he
was active with the Legion and as a
school crossing guard for several years. A
Memorial Service and tea will be held at
Legion #40 in Penticton on Sunday,
March 13th at 2:00 p.m, Another service
will be held at Legion #118 in North
Vancouver on Tuesday, March 15th at
2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the B.C. Lung Associa-
tion. Arrangements by the Memorial
Society of B.C.

TAMAS - Leslie P., passed away March
10, 1994 at Lions Gate Hospital, He will
be sadly missed aud fondly remembered
by his wife Nadyne; children Susana,
Julie (Martin), Nancy (Ooug) and Mark
(Carmen); six grandchildren Teagan,
Lacey, Joshua, Christopher, Justin and
Stephanie; plus many other family and
friends. A memorial service will be held
at 4:00 p.m, on Monday, March 14th at
the Boat Chapel, 1505 Lillosel Road,
North Vancouver. {n lieu of flowers,
donations to the Children’s Hospitat or
charity of your choice appreciated.
