company’s eight trips scheduled
March through October. Group
size is limited to 12; hikes are
graded from easy to strenuous. In
April, 2 moderate trek (no higher
than 2,000 metres) in the Gorkha
area offers ridge walking through
rhododendron foresis. You need
not be an avid climber to enjoy
“the breathtaking view of the
late-afternoon sun on the
Himalayas while a Sherpa guide
serves tea. Prices are $3,500-
$4,700 including = return airfare

This is the second year Air
Canada and SwissAir have got
together to offer ‘‘The Alpine
Experience,’’ which gives special
deals on accoramodation at 23 ski
resorts in Switzerland, France and
Austria. One week’s hotel, two
