Day cares get grants SOCIAL SERVICES and Housing Minister Claude Richmond recent- ly announced his ministry provided more than $144,000 in grants dur- ing the 1986-87 fiscal year to day- care centres operated by non-profit societies throughout the province. ‘*These grants are made available to assist day-care opera- tors with needed emergency repairs or relocation when necessitated by the sale or demolition of a building, termination of lease, or change in usage of the premises,’’ said Richmond.
