Virtually every professional hockey game
you watch has some kind of violence. It is
well known that young boys as well as
hockey players in the minor leagues look up
to the NHL “stars” as role models.

Today's question is:

‘With the continuing violence,
are NHL players a poor
example for young hockey

players?”’

The $2 break-in

THIEVES who broke into a
home in the 2100 block
Kings Avenue in West
Vancouver, Sunday evening,
even had the forethought to
unscrew one of the flood-
lights Uluminating the house,
before prying open the door.

But their trouble yielded
them httle enough reward —
just $2. All that was taken
from the home were two $1-
centennial bills.

They fared much better at

block, where they pried

open a rear door with a large
screwdriver.

After ransacking the
entire house, they left with a
substantial amount of
sterling silverware, said to
be worth a considerable
sum.
